Berry Delicious Lactation Smoothie
Need some help in the milk production department? Try this lactation smoothie! A lactation smoothie is a (delicious) smoothie created to help boost a nursing mum’s milk production. The brewer’s yeast, whole oats, and flaxseed are the key ingredients here, as they contain important nutrients essential for breastfeeding mothers. Even if you’re not breastfeeding, this is a healthy snack suitable for anyone (and no, you won’t just start lactating).
- ~ ½ cup almond milk (more or less depending on preferred thickness)
- 1 banana
- ⅓ cup frozen blueberries
- ⅓ cup rolled oats
- 2 tbs flaxseed
- 2 tbs almond butter
- 1 tbs brewer’s yeast
- A dash of maple syrup or honey (optional)
Throw all the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. Savour every sip.
